Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book my own room at Château de Mercuès?
No, you do not need to book anything for the wedding nights. We have reserved the entire château for our guests on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. We’ll take care of the room assignments for everyone.
How do I pay for my room?
Rooms are €250 per night plus tax, and payment will be completed through a booking link sent after we collect RSVPs. No action is required until then.
Which nights are included, and what if I want to stay longer?
The reserved rooms cover Friday and Saturday night only. If you’re planning to arrive early or extend your stay, please book your own accommodations separately through the Chateau de Mercuès website or in the surrounding area. Check our ‘Things To Do’ page for suggestions.
Which airports should I fly into?
The two most convenient options are: 1) Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS): about 1 hour 30 minutes from the château, 2) Paris (CDG/ORLY): best for extended France trips, with high-speed trains to Cahors/Toulouse
How do I get from the airport/train station to Château de Mercuès?
We’ll be offering a shuttle from the Toulouse train station on Friday at 2:00 PM, with a return shuttle back to Toulouse on Sunday afternoon. If you’d rather make your own way, there are easy rental car options and direct trains to Cahors.
Is there parking or should I avoid renting a car?
Parking is available on-site for guests who choose to rent a car or drive their own, though most guests won’t need one if they plan to take the shuttle from Toulouse.
What should I wear? What’s the dress code?
Friday evening is cocktail attire, Saturday’s celebration is black-tie optional, and Sunday’s brunch is beach-club casual. Please refer to our attire page for more details and some inspiration.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
All wedding festivities will be outside, weather permitting.
Are children welcome?
Only the children who were specifically included on the invitations are welcome for the weekend (with an exception for infants under one year old), as the celebration is designed as an adults-centered experience with late nights, drinking, smoking, and festivities geared toward guests 21+. For children under one-year old, we will be happy to arrange on-site nanny services at the parents’ expense for the duration of the weekend festivities. While we adore your little ones, any unexpected miniature guests who somehow sneak into the château will be swiftly locked in the dungeon for the duration of the weekend.
What are the meal options and food allergy accommodations?
All meals throughout the weekend will be provided at Château de Mercuès, featuring Michelin-star dining with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients from the Lot Valley. The château’s culinary team will prepare exceptional multi-course meals, along with curated wines and drinks served throughout the weekend. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP so the kitchen can accommodate you.
Will Wi-Fi be available?
Yes, Château de Mercuès provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms and in some public areas.
What’s the weather like in June?
June in Mercuès is typically warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures in the mid-70s to low-80s°F (24–28°C) and comfortably cool evenings. It’s one of the most beautiful times of year in the Lot Valley, with long daylight hours and clear skies. Of course, the weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the forecast as the weekend approaches.
What time is check-in and check-out from the Château?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM on Friday, which aligns with the arrival of the shuttles from Toulouse. Check-out is at 12:00 PM on Sunday. We kindly ask that all bags be packed by brunch (11:00 AM) so you can relax and enjoy the morning while the château stores your luggage. A return shuttle to Toulouse will depart on Sunday afternoon around 2:00 PM once brunch concludes. You can expect to be back in Toulouse by 3:30-4:00 PM at the latest.
