Here are the travel details to help you plan your journey to the château, including flights, train options, and our group shuttle schedule.

Flying into Paris

For many international guests, Paris (Charles de Gaulle or Orly Airport) will be the easiest entry point into France. From Paris, you can take a high-speed TGV train directly to Toulouse Matabiau Station; the journey takes about 4½ to 5 hours and offers a scenic view of the French countryside. From there, our wedding shuttle will depart at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, taking guests directly from the Toulouse train station to Château de Mercuès.

Alternatively, guests can rent a car in Paris and enjoy a leisurely 6½-hour drive south, passing through the Loire Valley, Limoges, and rolling wine country before arriving at the château. This option is perfect for those who want to make a road trip out of it and stop at charming villages or vineyards along the way.

Flying into Toulouse

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) is the closest major airport to Château de Mercuès, just 110 kilometers (about 1½ hours) from the property. Upon landing. The route takes you through the picturesque Occitanie countryside, dotted with sunflower fields, stone villages, and views of the Lot River.

For those who would like not to rent a car or arrange their own private transfer, we’ll be providing a group shuttle from Toulouse Matabiau Train Station to the château. The shuttle will depart at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, and will return to Toulouse on Sunday, June 14th, departing the château at 2:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to plan train or flight schedules around these times.

Reaching Toulouse by Train (from other cities)

If you’re flying into another French city, such as Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux, or Lyon, it’s easy to reach Toulouse by SNCF train. The French rail network is fast, efficient, and comfortable, with direct routes connecting all major cities to Toulouse Matabiau Station.

From there, you can either join the wedding shuttle departing Friday at 2:00 PM or arrange your own transfer to Château de Mercuès (about 90 minutes by car). The return shuttle will bring guests back to Toulouse on Sunday afternoon, departing the château at 2:30 PM.

Alternatively, you can also take the train to and from Cahors and take a taxi to Chateau de Mercuès (15 min drive away).

To note: Taxis are sporadic in the area and need to be programmed in advance. There are no ubers or lyft in the area.
